Andrew Armani, DVM
Dr. Andrew Armani lived in Pensacola when he was young and has finally returned as a co-owner of Navy Boulevard Animal Hospital with his wife, Dr. Megan Armani. He graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and then pursued specialty training at Florida Veterinary Specialist in a rotating medical and surgical internship. His professional interests are internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and ophthalmology. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, sailing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.
Megan Armani, MS, DVM
Dr. Megan Armani graduated from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, and then pursued an internship at Oradell Animal Hospital and Florida Veterinary Specialist. She is originally from upstate New York and has been happy to call Pensacola home. Her professional interests are soft tissue surgery, feline medicine, and internal medicine. Her hobbies include running, skiing, baking, and being with her family.
Amberly Sokoloff, VMD
Dr. Amberly Sokoloff is originally from Pennsylvania, where she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a large practice in Delaware. She then moved to California to pursue a 3-year residency in Avian and Exotic Pet Medicine and Surgery at UC Davis, which she completed in 2012. Since then Dr. Sokoloff has been in private practice providing care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and other small mammals, and even fish. She also volunteers with wildlife rescue organizations, including the Emerald Coast Wildlife Rescue. She has co-authored several papers and has given continuing education lectures on avian/exotic topics for both veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Outside of work Dr. Sokoloff's primary passion is music – she plays the piano, violin and sings. She also enjoys yoga, zumba, and gardening.
Leigh Ann Long, MS - Practice Administrator
Leigh Ann began working with animals in 2002 at the Comparative Hearing Lab where she assisted with psychoacoustic data collection. She received her Master's degree in experimental psychology in 2007 from the University of South Alabama and worked for the USA Department of Comparative Medicine and UT MD Anderson as an animal behaviorist before entering the field of companion animal medicine in 2009. She began working at Navy Boulevard Animal Hospital in 2011 in client care and became practice manager in 2015. She has a strong interest in hospital management, positive reinforcement training, and pet nutrition. Her hobbies include herb gardening, soap making, crocheting, and enjoying the beach.
Jessica Scheper, Client Care Supervisor
Jessica is a native of Virginia Beach, VA and was also a resident of the New Orleans area for 10 years. She has worked as a stable manager at a Hunter/Jumper Equestrian Facility and as a Veterinary Technician at Ark Animal Hospital on the east bank of New Orleans. Jessica has been a resident of the Pensacola area off and on since 1995. She has traveled to different areas due to her husband, Eddie being of prior Marine Corps service. Jessica shares her time as a Client Care Supervisor both here and at our sister hospital, Navy Boulevard Animal Hospital. Jessica has a husband of 20 years, Eddie, a son, Edward, and a daughter, Lauralai. At home they have a 28 year old African Grey parrot named Chipper, a blue merle rat terrier named Sadie, a maltese mix named April, eight chickens and lots of fresh and saltwater fish. Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She has a huge passion for horses and motorcycles and tries to ride as often as possible.
Lauren Koenig, Client Care Specialist
Lauren's love of working with and caring for animals began at a young age when she volunteered with local rescue organizations. Her passion for animal care led her to pursue a career working with animals; her past work experience includes internships at several zoos, working in pet supply retail, dog bathing and grooming and as a kennel technician.
In 2015, she graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Zoological Science. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, gaming, reading and spending time with her husband and their three fur babies Libby, Fluffy and Zeta.
Michelle Williams, Lead Veterinary Nurse
Michelle was born in Pennsauken, New Jersey and was the only girl of four children. Her family moved to West Palm Beach, FL when she was 13 years old. She became a veterinary technician after graduating high school in 2002 and moved to Pensacola in 2008. Her areas of interest in veterinary medicine are surgery and radiology. Her personal interests are hockey, running, and being outdoors with her young son, Lucas, and their new puppy, Finley (AKA Shark Fin).
Payden Bynog, Veterinary Nurse
Payden is originally from Bunkie, Louisiana and moved to Pensacola in May of 2016. She graduated from Louisiana State University with her Bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. In high school, she worked as a hired hand for a family friend and mainly worked with horses. Payden then started working with dogs and cats at a pet hotel in Greenwood, Louisiana for two and a half years and absolutley loved it. She has a passion for working with animals big and small and is so happy with what she is doing. Her hobbies include reading, watching movies, riding horses, driving motorcycles and hiking.
Abbey Grissom - Veterinary Nurse
